Summary: Adirondack Chair
Comment: I ordered two Adirondack chairs that arrived in damaged boxes 1 day after tracking indicated as arrival date.

The chairs required assembly, but the parts that were assembled were hastily tacked together and had come apart during shipping. The white paint was/is a chalky primer that will need to be repainted with a proper paint.

The product is terrible at best.

Summary: You get what you pay for
Comment: The price is too good to be true. I ordered these based on price alone, and this is a case of you get what you pay for. These are made of very light pine, which makes them great for shipping cost, but bad for durability. The assembly is poor, only nails. The finish is poor, they did not sand the putty they put in the nail holes (and well around them), and you can see big lumps of putty through the stain, both close up and from a far (i will sand and re-paint next season). These are also very low to the ground and small.

All in all, they make for lawn art, more than functionality. My in-laws just bought one for 9-9$ at LLBEAN....much, much nicer.

Summary: Easily Brakeable
Comment: The chairs arrived with broken parts, not a surprise when you see the low quality of the wood. The finish is nothing more than a light white-wash of paint, rough and non-protective. When we put the first of the two we purchased together the screws split the wood, and that is with me, a farily srtong but not super strong woman doing it by hand. The whole thing not only looked and felt cheap, it just IS cheap. If it lasted one season we'd be surprised. We actually ended up taking the whole chair apart and boxing it back up and returning both for credit. There are nicer, laminated, adjustable chairs on sale at other sites for the same amonut of money. They do not have the ottoman though.

Summary: Northern Tool White Adirondack Chairs
Comment: To say I was not happy with our purchase of the Adirondack Chairs from Northern Tool and Equipment is an understatement. They arrived with splits in the wood and a paint job so poor that you can still see the wood grain and imperfections as well as penciled notes from the people who cut the wood. There was also missing hardware required for assembly and the instructions for assembly were so poorly written and such a small font size that they were nearly useless. VERY poor product. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Reviews Are Worth It
Comment: I bought this item based on a previous review that gave it good marks. It was the most reasonably priced wood Adirondack chair on the Internet. So it arrived damaged but never was customer service so good. I called, no waiting, they knew me immediately from caller id, gave me a number to write on the box and that was it, all of 2 minutes. Next day, UPS picked it up and a day later a new one arrived. Just finished assembling it (not something I do often) and it was not hard. Looks great. I too will make Northern Tools a favorite.
